Science challenges to do at home

KS1 Science Club
Key Stage One Science Club have been having lots of fun on Tuesdays after school. They are working hard doing weekly challenges in order to gain their Crest Star Award.
So far we have looked closely at mini beasts, had a brilliant time with bubbles and this week got in a mucky mess investigating washing powders!

Year 3 enjoyed helping out Willy Wonka's Oompa Loompas by developing new products for his chocolate factory. The used their working scientifically skills by making predictions and testing them.
Roald Dahl Day

Stone Age Topic

Was life in the Stone Age the same as today? Year Three don't think so. They showed their understanding using ICT to make powerpoint presentations.
We made Stone Age Stewed Fruit using ingredients that the Stone Age people might have foraged for. We evaluated it and then re-designed it to see if we could improve the taste.
